| Please join us for our Federal Holiday Run on Monday, May 25 at 9:00 am. This run is taking place on the Northwest Branch Trail in Hyattsville. After the run, PGRC’s own Coach Dave is hosting a brunch picnic! As always, we welcome all ages, paces, and abilities! Friends, family, and leashed dogs are welcome. Don’t forget to wear your PGRC gear if you have it! Date: Monday, May 25 Time: 9:00 am Location: 3909 Longfellow St, Hyattsville, MD 20781 Route Details: We’ll leave from Dave’s house and run the the trail head in Driskell Park, just a few block away. We’ll run 3 miles. The trail is paved and flat. Brunch Details: Dave will provide brunch (pancakes, scrambled eggs, some sweet things, coffee, etc.). Fun Fact: Driskell Community Parkis home to a sculpture erected in memoriam to Jim Henson, titled Muppet Dawn. Each side of the octagonal sculpture showcases a TV screen filled with various Muppet characters. Hyattsville was where Henson had his first Muppet TV show, “Sam and Friends,” in 1955.
