Run Your Heart Out with PGRC!

Join your fellow PGRC’ers Wednesday, February 28, for “Run your Heart Out” to celebrate Heart Health during the month of February.

We’ll meet at Riverdale Towne Center for an easy (3 miles give or take) out and back run AND enjoy some heart healthy red wine after.
They have wine on tap!

The Towne Center isn’t a bar that serves food, but you can order food from a near by sandwich/pizza place called Dumm’s Pizza. It is literally around the corner from Towne Center, and they deliver food to the Towne Center.

We’ll meet at 6:45 pm

Join us for a holiday run on President’s Day!

Join the PGRC crew on Monday, February 19th, 8 am, at the parking lot for the Glenn Dale Splash Park,11901 Glenn Dale Road (Route 193).

Depending on the ambitions of those present, we will take the Washington Baltimore and Annapolis Trail either south to Annapolis Road (3.8 miles out and back) or north to Race Track Road (8.2 miles out and back).

When you’re done, the Board will want to know whether you think the club should sponsor a race on the WB&A. We hope to see you there!

Whether you’re racing, volunteering, or cheering, it’s time to rock the PGRC BLUE for the RRCA Club Challenge 10M!

Wear your blue PGRC shirts on Sunday, February 25 to represent our amazing club when we join other DC and MD clubs at Howard Community College in Columbia. If you have not signed up for the challenge, there is time to join! We still need at least 6 more male team members to join our challenge team.

Don’t have a PGRC shirt but want to get one? Contact Ndegwa or Joann — they are $15 each.

Happy hour is from 4-7, so don’t be late. We don’t want to start the party without you! (You can keep getting your “karaoke on” til midnight.)

PGRC MLK Holiday Run/Walk – January 15, 2018

Join us for a casual social run or walk on MLK Day (Monday, January 15, 2018) at 8AM. We will be meeting at the parking lot for Lake Artemisia, Berwyn Rd & 55th Ave, Berwyn Heights, MD, at 8 am. Basic run will be about 2 and a half miles.

Many people feel that Martin Luther King’s birthday should always be an occasion for contributing to the community.

PGRC has decided to support the campaign to bring the Girls on the Run program to Prince George’s County, starting with four County elementary schools. We hope to have a continuing relationship with the program.
