Please join us for our Juneteenth run as part of PGRC’s Federal Holiday Run Series.
As always, we welcome all ages, paces, and abilities! Friends, family, and leashed dogs are welcome, but probably best to leave the strollers in the car.
Don’t forget to wear your PGRC gear if you have it!
- Date: Thursday, June 19, 2025
- Time: 7:45 am
- Location: Greenbelt Park, Sweetgum Parking Area (Google Maps Link)
- Route Details:
- Road Option: The main group will be running the paved park road. This ~1.25 mile loop is entirely paved surface and features moderate rolling hills. The park road is shared with (light) vehicle traffic, so please remain alert and keep one earbud out for safety. You can choose between one or two (or even more!) laps.
- Trail Option: Those seeking a challenge may elect to split off from the main group for an unguided trail run/hike around the 5.2 mile perimeter trail. Please note the perimeter trail is a wooded trail with roots, rocks, dirt, mud, significant hills, and a boardwalk section. Insect repellent is recommended. Please remember to check for ticks after your run/hike!

- Parking: Free and ample.
RSVP appreciated, but not required to attend. Please let us know if you plan to attend by emailing membership@pgrc.org.
