The 10K Training Program is geared towards adults who can run 3 continuous mile who would like to increase their running endurance to 6.2 miles (10k). The program will build your endurance with a combination of long runs, hill training, and speed work. In addition, the program will offer the benefits of improved cardiovascular fitness, reduced adverse health factors, and safe training methods. The target graduation race is the Wright Stuff 10K race.
A complete schedule will be provided at the first meeting.
- Tuesdays at 7:00pm,
- Thursdays at 6:30pm and
- Saturday at 8:00am for 10 weeks.
The training program fee is $55.
All participants are required to be current members or to join the Prince Georges Running Club.
PLEASE NOTE: The fee for the graduation race IS NOT included in the cost of the training program. This fee must be paid separately by each participant prior to the race. More information on the graduation race registration process will be provided to program participants prior to the end of the training program.
