Volunteer for the Springburst on April 28!

Help support the Club and all the runners in the Springburst 8K by volunteering to support the race on April 28. Many mighty volunteers are needed – course marshals, timers, shirt and bib handlers, water stop folks, helpers to set up, break down and tidy up the Greenbelt Park race route after we finish – all are needed to make this signature PGRC race a great event.

Note: Only the shirt handlers, set up and break down folks may volunteer and also run the race.

Rock the PGRC Blue for the Club Challenge 10M !

Whether you’re racing, volunteering, or cheering, it’s time to rock the PGRC BLUE for the RRCA Club Challenge 10M!

Wear your blue PGRC shirts on Sunday, February 25 to represent our amazing club when we join other DC and MD clubs at Howard Community College in Columbia. If you have not signed up for the challenge, there is time to join! We still need at least 6 more male team members to join our challenge team.

Don’t have a PGRC shirt but want to get one? Contact Ndegwa or Joann — they are $15 each.

Join PGRC for the 2018 RRCA Club Challenge

Registration is now open for the Club Challenge 10M on February 25, 2018. The race is open only to members of Maryland and DC RRCA clubs, so please make sure you are a current PGRC member before you register.

PGRC is offering a free training program to prepare you for the race. The group meets during four of our regular club runs (track nights on Tuesdays at 6:45pm, Thursday 6:30pm runs at Herbert Wells Ice Arena, Saturday Greenbelt Park at 8am, and long runs Sunday 8am at Mission BBQ in Greenbelt). The first run will be January 6, 8am at Greenbelt Park.

Congratulations to PGRC 2017 RRCA Maryland State Championship Series!

A HUGE congratulations to the PGRC members who won in the 2017 RRCA Maryland State Championship Series:

  • Bernard Kelly
  • Cindy Cohen
  • Lloyd Rawley
  • Valerie Mayhew Rankin
  • Clare Imholtz
  • Karsten Brown*
  • Kirk Gordon*

* Ran with one of their other running clubs.

We encourage you to run the 2018 series. Only four races are needed to qualify, and if you run the Club Challenge and Springburst, you are halfway there. Many age group prizes go unclaimed since there are no qualifiers.
